Now that I have time to think…
Being digested over 1,000 years means nothing if you’re going to die of starvation or dehydration in 2 days anyway. Think about it: it will take one year for your body to be simply 0.1% digested. Therefore, after 2 days, you’d only be approximately 0.0005% digested. You’d barely feel it!
Now if 3PO had told them they’d spent the next 1,000 minutes (16 hours and 40 minutes) being digested–THEN you’d have something to dread. The reality is just that being digested over 1,000 years sounds cooler.

It turns out that I was slightly off on the “Jell Them” line — it’s really just Han & Luke saying “tell them” simultaneously a few times (Mark Hamill screws up, the first time so it sounds like jell them), but the funny part of Carrie wanting to say it with them and being denied is in there. Kev uncovered the “Making of” on YouTube, and I watched several parts until I finally found it — it was pretty deep into it, like part 7 or something. Oh well, not bad for remembering something from 25 or 26 years earlier — especially considering I was 4 or 5 years old at the time.

Great show guys! I wanted to point out I think the green slim on C3PO is from Jabbba. If I recall, Luke says something to Jabba and upsets him, and Jabba throws his arms back, hitting C3PO, knocking him over. When he pops back up, he’s covered in that slime. I think it’s just the slime of Jabba. Kind of like slime on a snake.

Kev, you were right in guessing that it takes place 3 years after empire. Lucas has said it a bunch of times in interviews and whatnot.
But Gord, no way only 30% of people read the opening scroll. Cmon, your tellin me 2 out of 3 people pay no attention whatsoever to the words on the screen that set the movie up and fill you in on whats been goin on?
Great show though.
